Dr Aarjun Chadha (Dr RJ)

Aarjun is a highly skilled and experienced dentist who graduated from Griffith University in 2016. He is a true local, residing right here in Hervey Bay! Aarjun may look tough on the outside but he has a very gentle and caring attitude which you will very quickly come to realise. He is involved with volunteering his dental expertise to the less fortunate and regularly visits the town of Cherbourg in NW Queensland.

Aarjun is dedicated to providing superior dental solutions that can be customised to each person’s goals, values and budget. He also has a strong focus on delivering comprehensive care that extends beyond just fixing teeth. Aarjun is interested in improving your general well-being and explaining how your dental health may be impeding this process. He also has a keen interest in providing cosmetically-oriented dentistry and doing so in a manner that allows the patient to be most comfortable.

In his spare time Aarjun enjoys mountain biking, going on long walks along the beautiful beaches with his dog and driving along the scenic routes of the Fraser Coast.

Dr Joel Pavy

Hi, my name is Joel Pavy and I am the principal dentist at Viva Family Dental Hervey Bay. I graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and since graduating I have completed over 20 additional courses in advanced dentistry including Full Mouth Rehabilitation and Immediate dentures.

I grew up in a big family in Adeliade where I played a high grade of amateur AFL football (something that doesn’t get much respect here in sunny Queensland). When I am not in the Dental Surgery you will find me spending time with my beautiful fiancé Yasmin and with our two puppy dogs. We love bush walking, watching tv series and catching up with friends and family. I have practiced dentistry in the Hunter Valley, Kingaroy and the Gold Coast over the past five years giving me lots of experience in all facets of dentistry.

Viva Family Dental has been fitted out with the most modern equipment ensuring we can provide quality treatment. I want each patient to have treatment that looks amazing, feels good, and is built to last.

I trained to be a Dental Assistant in Melbourne and continued on in that role when the family moved to the Gold Coast where I continued further studies.This gave me the opportunity to work in both general, and specialist practices which encompassed both chairside assisting, training other assistants, and managerial roles.

My interests/ hobbies include, snorkelling, music/dancing, reading and above all, family.My bucket list is too immense and probably not enough years to fulfil.I have enjoyed being involved in the dental industry for as long as I have, because it is constantly changing with new techniques and above all, everyday it brings a smile from the various patients that I meet.

Maddy

Hi, I’m Maddy. I’ve been a dental assistant for 3 years and at Viva family dental for 18 months now. My family and I have lived in Hervey Bay our whole lives on our cattle and cane property just outside of Hervey Bay. As well as dental assisting, I am also half way through my bachelor of nursing degree. Dental assisting is an extremely rewarding job because I get to provide comfort to our patients, be apart of a great team and chat to a number of different patients throughout the day.
